Surfing with a Purpose

We are receiving word of recent phenomenon, the youth seem to be taking a stand and speaking about their faith. Some are describing this as the beginning of a revolution; others are trying to mock the movement because it is showing them a glimpse of their own emptiness and pride. Yet fearlessly a message is going out, and it seems to be in the form of a letter about God, or "Jesus" and his ability to fill the void in the hearts of this Nation. More specifically it seems to be impacting the youth and stirring them to take action.

The message is not about condemnation or judgement, however, it seems to be a message of love, hope and forgiveness. Furthermore, there have been references made to the Book of Acts chapters 1 and 2. Some are seeing this as an outpouring, rain so to speak, of the Holy Spirit that is described in those chapters. The youth believe that the Bible is actually "The Word of God" and they are writing the word VERITAS all over the town. The word is actually Latin and means "TRUTH". They are calling this movement by that word.

We are now receiving word that this seems to be a group of, and stay with me, Surfers that are preaching the Gospel with a passion and a purpose. Some are referring to them as "Saints" sent by God and that they desire to "Serve the purpose of God in their Generation." It was said in the world "the strength of those who carry the burden is failing" but this is not the case here, some have said that they are being given strength by the Lord Almighty, and that he is with them. I can not tell you what to believe but I do have a copy of this Letter and you can see for yourself.

Hi, thanks for starting to read this letter instead of just throwing it away. Actually I hope you will be the one who is thankful when you are finished. I know what you are thinking; “oh no, this thing looks long, I don’t have time to read all this, its probably trying to sell me something I don’t need and I’m tired already. Well, I dare you to stop your plans for the next ten minutes and take time to read this. Don’t just skim through the thing but really read this… Now that anyone who is going to throw this paper out has done it, I can speak to those of you who want to hear this message. Yes YOU! You are the reason for this letter. It is written directly for you with nothing but pure love as a motive. That’s right, love is the message. Love that is unconditional and true. A love that is eternal rather than only for a season. The love that ultimately holds all things together. It is the love of God. Not of “a god” or the god of self, but the living God who created you with such complexity that we honestly still cant understand ourselves. God loves you more than these words can describe. That is the point of this letter. It is truth and the world is starving for it. You must know this love to understand it, if you do you’ll have a huge smile on your face right now. Those of you that don’t are thinking that I’m crazy and are about to stop reading and go get some food or something. Don’t! Again I dare you to continue to spend time understanding these written words. “I have heard this crap before”, that’s what your thinking. Maybe you have, but I bet it was watered down and chopped up to be presented as politically correct, as tolerant and fitted for everyone’s viewpoint. I really cant understand why people call us closed minded. I think you have to be incredibly open and childlike to believe that a Holy Deity would come to earth and create a way for his creation to be redeemed. It is not closed minded, it is presented as a personal gift to every person on the face of the planet. No one, not one is excluded, there is nothing you can do to earn it, the gift is on the table. The giver wants more than anything for you to receive his offering. It is his greatest desire!!!!!!!!! The creator of the universe wants you to have a personal relationship with him. It is so awesome. Knowing God, its life to the full. I honestly can not describe to you how much fulfillment and peace this has brought to me. Three and a half years ago I made a decision that completely changed my life. It took loosing my pride. It took time. It took seeking, but then I realized that God had been seeking me my entire life! I no longer am a slave to the world. I don’t have to strive for material things or good looks or a find ways to temporarily numb the emptiness that was in my heart. I was set free. I am freed from guilt and shame, I am filled with the most awesome peace that whispers no mater what happens nothing can take the love of God from me. You believe your doing fine and have all you need, right? Wait a minute, do you really have it all together and know that you are complete? Search your heart when you are alone on your bed. Honestly let yourself stand alone. Are you alone or do you have purpose and fulfillment in life. Humbly ask yourself; Is there a void in my life? Remember this letter is written out of a love that was first shown to me. There is isn’t there. Why is that? Its because God is seeking you! He wants you to open your heart and take the awesome gift that he has offered. Ask him, go ahead… say “God if you are real than show yourself to me”, he is listening. The bible tells us that Jesus stands at the door of YOUR heart knocking. Jesus the Christ came to earth to seek and save what was lost. We are lost as humans. That is the void in your life. Its covered up with noise and possessions and work and drugs and beer and every other action we may take to find temporary worth and purpose. You can say that this need does not exist in you and I can’t argue, but you and God know that that is a lie. I am not writing this to condemn you but to give you life. It is what you seek and its readily available to all that will accept this gift of love. We have a disease, it is called sin. No I’m not calling you a sinner, that is for you to judge. Let me give you the definition of sin: missing the mark. That’s it, missing the mark, I know I have so badly missed the mark of God’s holiness, that’s why I will never be able to repay this debt of love that I owe to my savior. Jesus is my savior. He came to earth as the son of God born of a virgin to take my sin upon his shoulders. To live a perfect life and die as a sacrifice worthy in God’s eyes to save me. This is the gift. Salvation is God’s plan for you. I know that when I stand before the LORD, I will be seen as clean and spotless in the eyes of my creator. I am crying as I write this just thinking of how much God loves me. I cant describe it, only a true Christian, a follower of Jesus knows this love I speak of. I want you to have it. I was so dirty in God’s eyes but everything I have ever done is washed away because I took the gift He offered to me. There is no guilt, no shame, no regret because my stains have been washed away. This is for YOU! I pray for you, that as you read this your heart will be soft and you can understand the simplicity of this gospel. My eyes still drip tears, now they are for you. Jesus is seeing you right now, he loves you so much. I cry to think that you may hear this and not take this awesome gift of redemption. You are not a bad person……………………. Compared to the world, but before God’s throne you are undone, I am undone, I have nothing to offer but Jesus my redeemer. The blood he shed covers me, I am forgiven. Not by being good, not by going to church or being religious, nor because your family may do volunteer work, or anything else I can do. You can’t earn a gift. You have to receive it. All you have to do is pray. You can be born again. Born into the family of God to share in his awesome love and joy. I am content, I desire nothing more because I could not have asked for more. You can pray anywhere, right now wherever you are reading this you can receive God’s gift. God is seeing you right now, smiling at the thought that you might be about to let Him come into your life. You are God’s greatest desire! All you must do is pray. “Jesus, for the first time in my life I know I need you. I believe you are the son of God. I know I’m a sinner and believe you died in my place. Thank You! I believe you rose again so that I can be born again. Please come into my life and prove to me that you are real. Forgive me, help me to repent and begin a life of following you. I love you, thank you.” Jesus is worthy to take our place. He is the only one worthy to save us. I pray you might have understood this and accepted His awesome offer. If you don’t believe this; don’t throw away this paper, give it to someone else but always know that God is seeing you through his eyes of love and wants you in his family. He wants a close, personal relationship with YOU! It is His desire! Your heart is what God seeks and He loves you. God is awesome and knowing him is the most awesome thing in the entire world. Go to sleep asking God to reveal himself to you, He will if you are truly and humbly seeking him. Read a bible. Start in the book of John or Mathew, go to a church and talk to the pastor, they are expecting you! Surfers with a purpose
